4 Smartphones With the Best Battery Life

Written by

For most people who are planning to buy a new smartphone speed, features and battery life are among the most important factors.

Most smartphones need a charge every day. That’s fine if you can charge it overnight, but no one wants to be charging in the middle of peak usage during the day.

So, the demand for good battery life is a key factor in consumer buying.

Technology is constantly looking to improve battery life because it plays such an important role in the buyer’s decision.

Sometimes, it’s just more economical to buy a backup battery. They are inexpensive and you can pick them up online from places like Newcastle Batteries for under $40. But I wanted to know beforehand which mobile or smart phones would give me the best battery life anyway.

So, I went ahead and did my own research, and here is what I found.

IPHONE 6 PLUS – The 2,915mAh battery

Battery life has been a significant point of contention with the iPhone, yet there’s good news with the iPhone 6 Plus. It is far better than all previous iPhones, especially for while multitasking.

You can stream videos  and listen music for 10 hours and use a couple social network applications and still have 4 hours (30 to 40%) battery life left after 15 hours of use. Impressive.

SONY XPERIA Z5 Premium: 3,430mAh

The handset offers Quick Charge 2.0 and Sony’s smart battery saving additional items. Sony has added memory to the display, implying that the CPU can be cut when the display is demonstrating what’s required. The result is amazing with two days of use in battery life.

We know Sony for its optimization, and we’ve seen Xperia smartphones do great in our battery life test.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is powered by a strongest 3,430 mAh battery, fixed in, as usual for the company. It’s 500 mAh more than the battery unit in the Z5, which scored 73 hours, so this is exceptionally good value.

HUAWEI ASCEND MATE 2 – 3,990 mAh Battery

Huawei has a reputation (at least in Australia) for having high-quality internal components.

However, it’s the excellent battery life that is the main quality of this phone. It doesn’t matter if you are browsing or streaming HD videos.

This phone just goes and goes for hours.

HTC One Max: 3,300mAh

With normal email checks, some browsing and use of Google Maps, the HTC One Max goes on for a strong day and a half. With good use of the cell phone’s energy saving mode, you can squeeze two days’ use of out it.

The 3,300mAh battery, 100mAh greater than the Note 3’s phone, will power through an entire day’s heavy use with a blend of messages, calls, web surfing and listening to music over Bluetooth. It was also a favourite among reviewers at Phandroid.

SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 5: 3,000mAh

For the web browsing test, the Galaxy Note 5 went on for 10 hours and 43 minutes, at the end of the day comparing the time recorded for the Galaxy Note 4 preceding the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

However, the battery tests show the most amazing results for Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5 can zoom past the majority of its ancestors, which is truly pretty big news considering that Galaxy Note 5 has a 3,220 mAh battery rather than the 3,000 mAh present on Galaxy Note 5.

By comparison, the Exynos 7420 running time was 9 hours and 11 minutes and the Galaxy Note 4 was just ready to die at 8 hours and 43 minutes. So overall the note 5 is an excellent choice, especially if you are multitasking and video streaming.
